Moms and Kids in Galway - Day 3

The first part of Sunday included rain, hail, and snow, so we stayed in our apartment until close to noon, because that's when it was "supposed" to clear up, and we really wanted to see Galway city center and explore all the shops.  The kids had some fun catching snow on their tongues on the balcony!

Finally made it to Galway, off to explore!  Lina and Isabelle, like a mini-Sheena and mini-Niamh right there!

I can just see them taking this same picture together in twenty years.

Clouds are clearing up, perfect timing!

An Irish tea shop.

BFF's in full conversation as they stroll through the streets and shops.

Instead of "candy" they say "sweets."

Just enjoying a cup of hot chocolate.

I thought, there's no way he's going to eat an entire crepe himself... I barely got two bites!

Cool kids club right there.

Telling secrets? :P

After exploring Galway the first part of the afternoon, we headed to the town of Cong, which is in county Mayo.  Here are the girls off exploring the Royal Abbey of Cong.

Can't stop, won't stop!

We sure are going to miss peeking out of those tiny windows of castles and abbeys.

Me: "Lina, let me take a picture of you in front of that old telephone booth."
Lina: "What's a telephone booth?"

Love love love these charming little villages.

I think the kids' favorite part of Cong was this little wishing well.

The Quiet Man cottage.

I love that being outside and exploring is so fun for the kids.  Who needs toys and computers when you have the world around you?

Wish the lighting was better, but I think this is one of the cutest, coziest cottages I've seen.  So small and quaint.  Would love to snuggle up inside!
