Counties Donegal, Sligo, & Leitrim - Days 3 & 4

Glenveagh National Park and Castle.  Such a beautiful place, seemed like a spot where Bob Ross would've done his paintings of happy little trees, mountains, and lakes!  After enjoying the park, we drove past the Dunlewey church ruins, then saw the beautiful Slieve League cliffs.  They're not as well-known as the Cliffs of Moher, but are about three times as high and just as, if not more breathtaking!

That right there, is hail.

Glenveagh National Park.

Glenveagh Castle. We stopped in for some much needed hot chocolate and sandwiches!

Dunlewey Church Ruins

Heading south in county Donegal on our way to the Slieve League cliffs, we were driving and I spotted this tiny little cottage on the side of the road and made Manuel turn around and go back!  There might have been 60 mph winds, but Lina and I HAD to check out this cute wee cottage!

Such a beautiful drive...

At the Slieve League Cliffs.

Can you spot the Giant's chair and table? :P

This would be an amazing spot for a picnic in the summer!

On the third night of our weekend, we stayed in Donegal city center.  I couldn't help but take a picture of this shop.  I definitely will NOT forget Ireland!

On day 4, we went through the Gleniff Horseshoe drive in county Leitrim, which is a beautiful drive, to see "Ben Bulben" which is a beautiful and very interesting looking mountain ridge that looks very jagged and flat at the top, but there was so much fog and rain it wasn't even worth taking any pictures.  I also wanted to see the Glencar Lakes and waterfall in county Leitrim, and we were driving through Glencar, almost at the waterfall, and there was a tree knocked over in the middle of the road from the crazy winds!  Needless to say, we did not get to see the waterfall.   The last day of our weekend was pretty miserable weather wise, but that's Ireland for ya!  :(

Looks like we're not seeing the waterfall today!

Quick stop at Parke's Castle in county Leitrim before heading home.
