We found a splashpad!

Netanya, Israel.

Benicio wasn't so sure what to make of the water spraying up at first.

Aww poor baby. ;)

Lina making sure her baby bro is ok.

Isandro had a great time!

"Come on, Benicio!"

Dinner after the splash pad.

Italian Adventure - Day 7

Our trip to Italy and down through the Almafi coast wouldn't have been complete without at least a day trip to the island of Capri, so we did just that.  It was about a 30 minute ferry ride each way from Sorrento.  We enjoyed amazing views from the Gardens of Augustus, the most amazing fruit slushies made straight from the lemons and oranges, and a relaxing ride on the chairlifts up to the highest peak of the island.  Wish we had a few more days to explore this beautiful island.  Maybe another trip...

The next couple of days staying in Sorrento, we wanted to give the kids more beach time, so we drove to Marina del Cantone beach.  Most of the beaches are pebbles and rocks, so no sand castle building, but the kids had fun in the water anyway and enjoyed collecting cool rocks and "sea glass".  Then in the evening, we explored the Sorrento town center, Piazza Tasso, which was super cool with lots of old streets and neat shops, followed by some yummy pasta and people watching, and for dessert... you guessed it - gelato! I didn't get any pictures because BenĂcio was not making it easy for us. I could barely hop into a couple shops and he was screaming because all he wanted to do was grab everything. They're wasn't a chance I'd be able to take a picture!

The day before our flight home back to Israel, we drive back to Rome from Sorrento, a few hours drive.  The place we stayed at that last night was near the airport, and walking distance to a beautiful stretch of beach, so we walked along there before having dinner and getting ready to go in the morning.

We had a great time overall, and we're so fortunate to be able to take trips like these with our kids. I hope they look back at the pictures with fond memories that will last a lifetime.

More breathtaking views from the Gardens of Augustus.

These lemonade and orange slushies were soooo good and refreshing.

Unfortunately this trail was not accessible due to construction, and was labeled "unsafe/unstable".  So we had to admire it from above.

Cute spot to eat lunch.

The following pictures are from the highest peak of the island after riding the chairlift for 12 minutes.  Manuel had taken Lina on his lap while I walked around with the boys and Benicio took his nap in the carrier.  When they were done, Benicio and I went.

A lot of people were climbing the barriers and sitting basically on the cliffs.  Benicio and I stayed behind the safety of the barriers. :)

This guy had a great time climbing steps.

Right before we were about to get on the lift to go back down.

Of course when Benicio and I got in line to wait for the lift, there were huge crowds and a bit of a wait to get on.  Luckily he was asleep in the carrier otherwise I don't think he would've been too happy waiting in the long line.  Once we were on the lift coming back, there were lots of empty chairs coming the other direction.
