Luckily the weather took a turn for the best and the webcam showed clear skies at the top of Mount Titlis! So off we went. Our adventures included a great breakfast at our hotel, followed by a cable car and gondola ride to the top of Mount Titlis (about 10,000 feet up!) and lunch at a mountaintop restaurant with an amazing snow-filled view! Don't let me forget about the cliff suspension bridge! So fun! Cold, but clear skies and fun!
Breakfast with a view!
About to get our tickets for the cable car!
Benicio and Lina aren't too sure about taking the cable car to 10,000 feet!
Partway through the ride to the top, we transferred onto the revolving car, that fit a LOT of people. It was cramped on the rest of the way up, but on the way back down there weren't as many people on it.
Taking a walk through an ice cave! Too cold for the boys but Lina loved it!
Our mountain view lunch from the top of Mount Titlis.
Cliff Bridge time!
Those little specks in the snow are people hiking the snowy mountainside!
All that cold calls for some hot chocolate!
Benicio chose ice cream instead, and had fun sharing it with Lina!
Every cable car had a different country's flag on it. We were excited to see the US flag!
After our fun day in Engelberg/Mount Titlis, we drove towards Kendersteg where we stayed the night. Followed by a day at Blausee Lake. There were endless points along our drives where we just HAD to stop and take pictures of the beautiful scenery!
Part of the excitement for the kids when traveling is staying in different places. They always love when bunk beds are involved!
Here are some additional pictures from my phone. A lady on the cliff bridge took a few family pics for us...
These signs were posted in the bathrooms of the hotel. Nothing like fresh mountain spring water straight from the tap!
