Play Ball

This semester, Isandro has been in "play ball" every Tuesday after school with Mr. Dion (who has the patience of a saint btw).  I am going to miss these Tuesday afternoons sitting in the grass watching him play and chatting with the other mamas!

About to do their "1, 2, 3, PLAYBALL!" group hug. ;)

Happy 3rd Birthday, Benicio!

May 22, 2017... How is it possible that my youngest is now THREE?!  In your first three years of life, it's amazing how you've grown into your own distinct look, mannerisms, and personality.  You love to investigate, play outside any chance you get, and are a master muddy puddle maker!  You are a big fan of your Hot Wheels cars, and we may or may not have several in the stroller, car, and my purse at any given time, just in case we are in a situation where Hot Wheels are needed (restaurant, playground, beach, you name it, it might just be a Hot Wheels emergency).  You love to build.  Legos and blocks are your bff's.  You're very proud of your creations, running out of the play room yelling, "Show me! Show me!" as you pat your tummy, motioning for us to come see what you built.  You have a bit of a risk-taking side in you, but I like it.  You also stick close to mama in new situations until you trust the others around you, and that's okay too.  When you watch tv, your favorite shows this year have been Peppa Pig, Dinosaur Train, and sometimes Daniel Tiger.  Although I miss the tiny baby stage at times, it's so exciting watching you grow, talk, and learn.  Can't wait to see how you surprise us in year three!  Love you, bubba!! May all your birthday wishes come true.

Isandro helping make our traditional "birthday pancakes" with sprinkles... which you rejected and asked for cinnamon toast instead. :)

Somebody is excited about their new Lego set!

Kfar Hanokdim

We spent the night at Kfar Hanokdim near the Masada/Dead Sea region with our friends and their two kids, in a rustic cabin complete with hammock, Bedouin experience learning about the peaceful Bedouin culture, buffet dinner, kids drumming music experience in the evening, breakfast the following morning, and a camel ride in the desert!  Such a fun experience, and one of the very unique things we have done here in Israel.  So glad we were able to share it with friends too!

We had a hammock right outside of our room.

So relaxing!

Pillow fight!

Walking from our room to the main area.

Our Bedouin experience.  Bedouin tea is soooo good!

Huge open area outside the dinner room.  There was a little stage the kids were running around on having a great time.

Poor Asnake got so dirty!

The next morning Lina and I went on a camel ride!
