Spirit Week

The week before fall break (two weeks off school!) Lina's school had Spirit Week, and the students showed their school spirit by dressing up every day that week.

Monday: Mismatch Monday

Tuesday: Super Hero Day!  Since we didn't have a Super Hero costume, we made one (thank you, Pinterest!)  She actually won best Super Hero in her class!

Thursday: Kids dress like teachers and teachers dress like students!

Luckily I still had my badge lying around from my teacher days. :) ...notice her coffee on the shelf?!  A must have for any teacher!

Benicio's First Haircut!

It was torture for everyone in the place, and he screamed the entire time, but look at how handsome (and less shaggy) he looks now!  15 months old...

Before...

After...

My handsome Isandro got cleaned up too.

Big Sis

Benicio crawled up on Lina's lap one day and she read him a story at the table.  It was pretty much the most adorable thing ever.

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo!

Poor Isandro is constantly building train tracks and towers with blocks only to have them destroyed by his loving little brother, Benicio.  So once in a while, we wait until little bro is asleep! :)

Lost Tooth

This was the third lost tooth for Lina, but the first one on the top.  Something about a kid with a missing top tooth is just extra cute! :-)

Smiles and Storytime

"Mommy, will you take a picture of me?"

Trying to look mad.

Dada is really engaged in storytime.

Isandro enjoying listening to Lina read before bedtime.

Passport Pic Frenzy

We underestimated how difficult it would be to get Benicio's passport pictures taken.  He refused to cooperate in Walgreens, so these are our attempts to do it ourselves at home.

This one ended up being acceptable, yay!

Weekend in Cali

Irvine Railroad Park... about 30 degrees cooler than AZ, I'll take it!

Benicio was pointing to the pony, so we decided we'd try to get him on one...

Here he is.  He wasn't too sure about it.

I think he liked the train ride better. :)

Isandro gives the train a thumbs up!

Dada and his boys.

Lina listening intently to her dad talk about bike safety.

This was only her 3rd or 4th time on her bike without training wheels... she is doing awesome!

Isandro gliding along, too...

Manuel in the pool with Lina and Isandro at the place we were staying.

Always great to see "uncle" Aaron.  The kids loved the tortoise, Soup.

Benicio took a tomato from Soup's lunch to eat for himself.

Benicio talking to Nitzy.
