San Diego - Part 1

Waterfront Park, The New Children's Museum, and Moonlight Bay Beach.  We decided to beat the heat and head for Cali for 4th of July weekend.  Waterfront Park did not disappoint with their awesome playground structures and fountains/splash area for the kids.  We didn't have their bathing suits the first time, but ended up coming back to this area for fireworks and brought their suits.

This was a really cool art activity where you could design your own squid or fish, scan it, and it would show up on the screen swimming around.

If I were to die today, I'd die a happy mama... It appears Lina shares my love for Monopoly!  We've had this particular game, unopened, since our China days.  Now I finally have someone who wants to play it with me!

Slime Dreams

They always say, "Good things come to those who wait."  Well, this couldn't have been more true for these kiddos.  They have been waiting a year and a half to make SLIME.  When we lived in Israel, we looked up so many slime recipes on YouTube, but any decent recipes need one important ingredient - borax, and that was pretty much impossible to find!  So to say they were excited to finally make their very own slime was an understatement!  All of their slimiest dreams finally came true!

The Best Part of Moving...

There are lots of things I DON'T enjoy about moving, especially when it's overseas, but one thing we all LOVE?!  BOXES, BOXES, and more BOXES means endless hours of imagination, play houses, rockets, or whatever your little heart dreams up!

New Beginnings!

It might not look like much now, but the Leon's are going to be building their first family home!  Coming soon... April 2018

Within our first week of being back in the states, of course we had to go to a baseball game!

Nothing shouts "America!" better than sharing a hot dog at a baseball game!

Surprise Bed for Lina

Our storage recently got delivered to our rental house yesterday, and today the kids and I stopped by the house to check things out, and to surprise Lina with a new bed that Manuel spent 4 hours putting together.  I was waiting in the room to catch her reaction.

She completely didn't even see the bed when she walked in, but a little box of some of her old toys!
